Stranger

Walking down the street, a woman is gazing, and a man is talking on the phone, A kid is staring at a shop’s window, and a beggar on the sidewalk is asking for a few pennies. You walk past that scene for it is a rather usual one, however behind you The woman suddenly starts crying as she walks, and still unchanged you walk on.

Change the scenario and ask the undying question of ‘What if’, what if a few minutes before, You were introduced to this woman by a friend, that moment you say hello, shake hands, or look at each other in acknowledgement, you now know each other. and as you head back on your path and she starts crying behind you, By some weird law you go back and start consoling her.

By this story I am not stating a law, but rather a social rule. I have known some people who do approach and help a total stranger and at times the stranger was me.
However this strange truth is rather too weird,  if I said hello to you five minutes ago, and and you are now in fatal danger, I am the first to jump and help in a street full of strangers because I know you. By The word hello or a greeting or an introduction you basicly acknowledge the other human’s existence.
Like in the Game Sims, Once your sim meets another  Sim, your sim can call, and invite over to her/his house that other sim, before meeting this sim, your sim didn’t acknowledge that other sim’s existence.

The walls that we put around our selves as humans, separate us from limitless what if’s. The hundreds of people you see while on the way to the super market, each person with a story, with a world. This person could have been your Love, your friend, your relative.
I can’t see how some people see the acts in our lives as random, because then, how do you know that those stories, those humans walking down the street without your acknowledgement weren’t supposed to be a part of your life? Just saying.

A Hand shake or a hello, a polite wave. they are doors to different limitless worlds. Since we are seven Billion Souls on this planet, I can’t suggest that we all get to know each other. though I would encourage, hope or dream that we would use our imagination, for responsibility begins with imagination:

“It’s all a question of imagination. Our responsibility begins with the power to imagine. It’s just as Yeats said: In dreams begin responsibility. Turn this on its head and you could say that where there’s no power to imagine, no responsibility can arise. Just as we see with Eichmann”
-Kafka on the shore

So My dear Human, Say as many Hellos, salos, salam allukums, namastes, as you could. imagine the lives of others, for if you did you won’t be able to hurt them or do them wrong.

Hello.
